Growing up in close-knit families where food was integral in forming bonds and relationships, Miguel and Mikayla wanted to create a space where community bonding is as important as the good Mexican food being served. Quesadilla Gorilla takes many initiatives in building relationships and one of them is the fundraisers that they host and support. With the pandemic that gripped the world, business slowed down a little, and it was a difficult time for all. That’s when the community stepped in and supported them and helped them stay afloat. Quesadilla Gorilla too, went out on an arm and a leg to support the people, e.g., providing food to first responders in a fire disaster by creating a fund and staying open way beyond their working hours.
There are several causes that Quesadilla Gorilla supports fundraisers for, and patrons can participate in different ways. Besides the fundraisers, there are pop-up events like the Farmer’s Market.
